The broadcasting division spans markets from central Washington to eastern Montana. Beginning with KHQ-TV, an NBC affiliate launched by Cowles in 1952, the division now covers the Tri-cities, Spokane, Missoula, Helena, Billings, Bozeman, Butte and Great Falls DMAs. SWX broadcasts regional weather and high school, college and professional sports.
